Book Yatri Niwas online
Fill in the reservation form online, get approval by email, pay by UPI and receive your confirmation.
Only maintenance charges are levied for stay in the Yatri Niwas (maximum of seven days):
- Independent Yatri Niwas with attached kitchen and washroom: Rs. 700 per family of four (w.e.f. 01.04.2024), plus Rs. 100 for each additional person. Check-in after 2:00 PM on the day of booking; check-out by 10:00 AM on the day following the last reserved day.
- Dormitory I, II and 112, and the hall near the Langar/Store Room: Rs. 100 per person per day. Full booking of Dormitory I or II (30–40 persons) for a religious function such as Hawan or Yagnopavit: Rs. 3,000 per day; Dormitory 112 (25–30 persons): Rs. 2,500 per day; small hall near the Langar/Store: Rs. 1,500 for full booking; use of the Langar and Store Room: Rs. 1,500, excluding gas cylinders.
Full dormitory/hall booking is allowed only for religious functions, and not during the annual Mahayagya of Mata Zeashta, the Zeasht Ashtami Yatra or the Haar Ashtami Yatra.
- This being a religious place, Yatri Niwas accommodation of any kind is strictly for yatries coming to Kashmir for yatra purposes. Booking is not allowed for tourists or tourist agents.
Guidelines for reservation of Yatri Niwas accommodation
- The accommodation in the temple complex exists so that every yatri visiting Kashmir has a secure place to stay in a homely atmosphere. Because Yatri Niwas accommodation is limited, reservation is restricted to one week per family: a family, or members accompanying it, may reserve a Yatri Niwas for a maximum of seven days in a particular month, and in no case shall this be extended. No second booking shall be allowed in continuation of an earlier booking by any yatri or accompanying member. If any member of the family is found to have reserved more than seven days in their own name or another family member's name, the booking will be treated as cancelled without notice.
No refund whatsoever will be made by the Prabandhak Committee for any cancelled booking. The seven-day limit ensures every family intending to stay in Zeashta Darbar gets a chance. We appeal to all yatries to co-operate.
- The Prabandhak Committee and its staff work day and night to keep upgrading the Yatri Niwas. Yatries are expected to co-operate in keeping the rooms and infrastructure in good condition. The cost of any mishandling of equipment, electrical appliances, utensils, bedding or furnishings, or any breakage in kitchens or washrooms, shall be borne by the yatri staying on that day.
- All yatries must follow the rules and regulations framed by the Zeashta Devi Prabandhak Committee during their stay. Any deviation shall attract cancellation of the booking besides legal action.
- Yatries are expected to keep their accommodation and its surroundings neat and clean. Dust bins are placed inside every accommodation and outside.
- All yatries must abide by the Disaster Management Act protocols and other orders issued by the local administration from time to time.
- Yatries must produce the proof of identity given in the reservation form at check-in, and fill in a fresh reservation form. The names of the yatri and accompanying members must match those in the reservation form submitted at the time of booking.

How to reserve
- Check availability. Open the Status of Yatri Niwas PDF for your month above. A blank cell means the accommodation is available; a cell with a number is reserved.
- Apply online. Fill in the online reservation form with details of all members. You will receive a reference number by email.
- Approval. The Committee reviews your request and emails you the approved dates (they may be adjusted to availability) and the amount payable.
- Pay by UPI. Open the link in the approval email, verify your email with a one-time code, scan the UPI QR code and pay. Then submit the payment screenshot and UTR / transaction number on the same page.
- Confirmation. After verifying the payment, the Committee confirms your booking by email. Carry the identity proof of every member at check-in.

Important: The security deposit is neither refundable nor transferable. However, if a cancellation is communicated at least ten days before the reserved arrival date, the deposit can be used for a rescheduled reservation up to the end of December of that year (once per year), after which it is treated as a donation.
